मसाला दुध - Masala Dudh

२ कप दुध
३ टेस्पून साखर
मसाल्यासाठी साहित्य:
१/४ कप बदामाची पूड
१ टेस्पून पिस्ता पूड
१/२ टिस्पून वेलचीपूड
चिमूटभर जायफळ पूड
१ चिमूटभर केशर

१) मसाला बनवताना न खारवलेले पिस्ता आणि बदाम वापरावेत. त्याची पूड करावी. बदाम पिस्ता पूड, वेलची आणि जायफळ पूड आणि केशर एकत्र मिक्सरवर एकत्र करून घ्यावेत.
२) २ कप दूध गरम करावे. त्यात ३ टेस्पून किंवा आवडीनुसार साखर घालावी. बनवलेला २-३ टिस्पून मसाला घालून ढवळावे. थोडे उकळू द्यावे व गरम गरम सर्व्ह करावे.

१) मसाला बनवताना इतरही सुकामेवा आवडीनुसार वापरू शकतो.
२) यामध्ये अख्ख्या चारोळ्याही घालू शकतो.
३) मसाल्यात जायफळ प्रमाणातच वापरावे. कारण मसाला दुधाला जायफळाचा जास्त फ्लेवर आला तर ते उग्र लागते.

2 Cup Milk
3 Tbsp Sugar
Ingredients for Masala:
¼ cup Almond Powder (unsalted)
1 Tbsp Pistachio Powder (unsalted)
½ tsp Cardamom Powder
Pinch of Nutmeg powder
1 pinch of Saffron

1) If you have unsalted Almonds and pistachio at home, grind it and use only the amount of measurement given above. Add Almond and Pistachio Powder, Cardamom Powder, Nutmeg powder and Saffron in the mixer and mix all the ingredients very well.
2) In a saucepan, heat 2 cups milk and add 3 tbsp sugar or add as per your requirement. Add 2-3 tsp prepared masala in it and stir with spoon. Bring it to boil.
Serve hot.

1) You can add other unsalted dry fruits like cashew nuts.
2) You can add Charoli seeds in Masala dudh.
3) Do not add too much of Nutmeg powder. Overwhelming flavor of Nutmeg powder could ruin the taste of Masala Dudh.

मठ्ठा - Mattha

Mattha Spiced Buttermilk (English Version)

Mattha, Spiced Buttermilk, Maharashtrian Buttermilk, spicy buttermilk, Indian buttermilk recipe, low calorie diet

१/२ कप दही
१ कप पाणी
१ टेस्पून कोथिंबीर
२ चिरलेली पुदीना पाने
१/४ टिस्पून जिरे
१/४ टिस्पून किसलेले आले
चवीनुसार मिठ

१) प्रथम दही रवीने घोटून घ्यावे. मग त्यात पाणी घालून घुसळून घ्यावे.
२) खलबत्त्यात घालून जिरे भरडसर कुटून घ्यावे. कुटलेले जिरे आणि किसलेले आले, घुसळलेल्या ताकात घालावे.
३) एका वाटीत १ टेस्पून बारीक चिरलेली कोथिंबीर आणि चिरलेली पुदीना पाने घ्यावीत. त्यात २ चिमटी मिठ घालून कुस्करून घ्यावे, म्हणजे मठ्ठा पिताना त्याची पाने तोंडात येणार नाहीत. हि कुस्करलेली कोथिंबीर व पुदीना पाने मठ्ठ्यात घालावी. चवीनुसार मिठ वाढवावे.
सर्व एकत्र ढवळून जेवणानंतर सर्व्ह करावे.

१) किंचीत तिखटपणा हवा असेल तर अगदी चिमूटभर मिरचीची पेस्ट घालावी.

½ cup Plain Yogurt
1 cup water
1 tbsp chopped Cilantro
2 Mint leaves
¼ tsp Cumin Seeds
¼ tsp ginger, minced
Salt to taste

Mattha, Spiced Buttermilk, Maharashtrian Buttermilk, spicy buttermilk, Indian buttermilk recipe, low calorie diet

1) In a container, add yogurt and whisk for a minute. Make yogurt very smooth. Add water and make buttermilk.
2) Crush Cumin Seeds coarsely. Add Crushed Cumin seeds, Ginger to buttermilk.
3) In a small bowl, add chopped cilantro, mint leaves and little salt. Crush together until Cilantro and mint leaves become mushy. Add it to Buttermilk. Add little salt and mix.
Serve after any meal.

1) Add approx. ¼ tsp chili paste to give nice chili flavor.

Great online resource - Phototree

Ever wished that there was a way to easily browse through Flickr to find photographs which are catered to your taste? Well, there is now. Phototree is a search engine which allows you to browse through hundreds of photographs from Flickr. It works very similarly to Stumbleupon, only without the toolbar.

It has a rating system, and as you rate each photograph it presents to you, it will “learn” what kinds of image you like and dislike and adjust the images that it presents to you accordingly. It will also save any of the images that you have rated positively in a favourites folder which gives you the option of going back and browsing through the photographer's photostreams at your leisure.

I have been using this for a while now and it is easy to use, giving you the opportunity to see images that you normally may miss. It's a great online resource and it's absolutely free.

Full on Urban Decay Photostream by confusedvision at Flickr

A really nice photostream from confusedvision at Flickr. A lof of his work just stinks of urban decay which I love and is tastefully captured to create really atmospheric photographs. I just had to keep on going through several pages of his work as he had my full attention.

I would advise taking a thorough look at his portfolio. It makes for total browsing joy.

१/४ कप दूध
१/४ कप तूप
१/४ कप साखर
साधारण दिड कप मैदा

१) दूध, तूप आणि साखर एकत्र करून साखर वितळेपर्यंत गॅसवर गरम करावे. हे मिश्रण थंड करून घ्यावे.
२) मिश्रण थंड झाल्यावर त्यात मैदा घालून मळावे. भिजवलेला मैदा एकदम घट्ट किंवा एकदम सैल मळू नये. मध्यमसर मळावे. मळलेले पिठ २० मिनीटे झाकून ठेवावे.
३) २० मिनीटांनंतर पिठ परत एकदा मळून घ्यावे. २ इंचाचा एक गोळा करून थोडा मैदा भुरभुरवून लाटावे. कातणाने त्याचे शंकरपाळे पाडावेत. आणि तूपात किंवा तेलात सोनेरी रंगावर तळून काढावेत.

¼ cup Milk
¼ cup Pure Ghee
¼ cup Sugar
Approximately 1 & ½ cup Maida (All purpose Flour)
Oil or Ghee for deep frying


1) In a saucepan, add Milk, Sugar and Ghee. Heat the mixture until sugar melts. Remove from the heat and let it cool down.
2) Add Maida to mixture, and knead to medium consistency dough. Cover the dough for 20 minutes. Do not add entire amount of Maida. Add little by little, so that it you will get perfect consistency.
3) After 20 minutes, knead it again. Divide into 2 inch round balls. Sprinkle little dry Maida Flour on your work surface and roll out dough ball to round and thin tortilla.
Cut it into diamond shape and deep fry in oil or Pure ghee.

To put it simply, Daniela Edburg makes kitsch and beautiful photographs of women murdered or to be killed by consumer goods. She said that the work is by no means critical. The most rudimentary reading Marxist would say that these beautiful ladies are imprisoned for his own obsession with these products capitalists, predominantly post-NAFTA, such as Miss Clairol, Pandit, Tupperware, Nutella and Canderel. If these girls are not dead, you will see, are virtually dead by their total dependence on those articles.

३/४ कप बारीक चिरलेली कोबी
१/४ कप बारीक चिरलेली भोपळी मिरची
४ टेस्पून बेसन
१ टेस्पून कॉर्न स्टार्च किंवा कॉर्न फ्लोअर
२ हिरव्या मिरच्या
३ लसणीच्या पाकळ्या
१ टिस्पून जिरे
१/२ टिस्पून हिंग
१ टिस्पून हळद
१ टिस्पून लाल तिखट
१/४ कप कोथिंबीर, बारीक चिरून
चवीपुरते मिठ
तळण्यासाठी तेल

१) प्रथम चिरलेली कोबी आणि भोपळी मिरची एका वाडग्यात एकत्र करावे. त्याला थोडे मिठ चोळावे ज्यामुळे भाज्यांना थोडे पाणी सुटेल.
२) मिरच्या आणि लसणीच्या पाकळ्या मिक्सरवर वाटून घ्याव्यात. किंवा मिरचीची आणि लसणीची पेस्ट उपलब्ध असेल तर ती वापरावी.
३) मिठ लावलेल्या भाज्यांमध्ये वर दिलेले सर्व साहित्य घालून मिक्स करावे. अगदी थोडे पाणी घालून कांदा भजीला भिजवतो तितपत घट्टसर भिजवावे.
४) तेल गरम करून भिजवलेल्या पिठाची लहान लहान बोंडं तळून घ्यावीत. भजी तळताना मध्यम आचेवर तळावीत नाहीतर भजी आतमध्ये कच्ची राहण्याचा संभव असतो.

Cabbage Pakora

Gobi pakoda in Marathi

¾ cup finely chopped Cabbage
¼ cup finely chopped Bell Pepper
4 tbsp Besan (Chickpea Flour)
1 tbsp Corn Starch / Corn Flour
2 green Chilies
3 Garlic Cloves
1 tsp Cumin seeds
½ tsp Asafoetida Powder
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Red Chili Powder
¼ cup finely chopped Cilantro
Salt to taste
Oil for deep-frying

1) Mix Cabbage and Bell pepper in a bowl. Rub little salt to it.
2) Grind green chilies and Garlic cloves together. Alternatively, if available, you can use green chili paste and garlic paste.
3) Put all the ingredients with the vegetables and mix very well. Add very little water. Consistency of mixture should be as thick as we keep for Onion Pakoda.
4) Heat enough oil for deep-frying. Drop small balls of mixture into heated oil. Deep fry pakodas on medium high heat, if you fry it on high heat, it will become crispy outside but remains uncooked inside.

Serve pakodas hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup.

Colorful laundry dries on lines in a Berber village in Morocco's High Atlas Mountains. Many Berbers, or Amazigh, fled to the highlands following the Arab conquest of North Africa in the seventh century A.D. Unlike the Berbers who remained with their conquerors, those who went to the High Atlas have until today managed to preserve their identity, their language, and their independence.

थाई जेवण हा माझा आवडीचा प्रकार. त्यात वापरलेले मसाले, त्यातून तयार होणारे रंग आणि झणझणीत चव यामुळे थाई, आपल्या जवळच्या (म्हणजे भारतीय) चवीचे जेवण वाटते.माझे थाई पदार्थ शिकण्याचे प्रयत्न चालू असतात. तेव्हा मी शोधलेल्या वेबसाईट्सचे सर्च इंजिन बनवावे असे डोक्यात आले. साधारण ५० थाई साईट्स/ ब्लॉगचे हे सर्च इंजिन साहित्याप्रमाणे (Ingredients) रिझल्ट्स देते.

थाई पदार्थ हे नॉनवेजकरीता जास्त फेमस आहेत तरीही थाई पदार्थांमध्ये खुप विवीधता आहे. छान सूप्स आहेत, गोड पदार्थ आहेत. पपई, आंबा, केळी, नारळ वापरून बनवलेल्या भाज्या, गोड पदार्थ आणि वेगवेगळे फ्राईड राईस आहेत, अशी बरीच विवीधता आहे.

The London Photographic Association (LPA) celebrates the art of modern photography and allows commercial and fine art photographers to show work and market themselves through a recognised industry association.

Pinhole photography

Pinhole cameras are the most basic of all cameras. There is no lens at all, just an extremely small pin-prick sized hole to allow light into a wooden box. There is a nice selection of black and white photography featured in Rob Gardiner's gallery. The pinhole photography is merely one of his categories.
